Red Meat Club, which owes its origin to an enlightened group of epicureans in Ithaca, New York, was formed in 1978 among those who share a common interest in the pleasures of eating, drinking, and fulfilling an "appetite for life."

The mission of Red Meat Club is officially described as "the advancement of public education in the science of pleasure." Indeed, the succulent beauty of a tender, luxurious steak is one of the greatest pleasures in life. And it is scientific fact that pleasure has a positive effect on health.

Red Meat Club aims above all to be a society of friends who will explore how the various elements of a meal combine to provide enjoyment, and who will share with each other their food-related experiences and discoveries.
